2. Too Much Sugar in the Mix
Sugar dramatically lowers the freezing point of a liquid. A drink with very high sugar content — like undiluted juice concentrate or heavy simple syrup — may never reach slush consistency in a home machine. Dilute your mix by 15–20% with water or use a lower-sugar recipe.
3. Warm Starting Liquid
Starting with room-temperature or warm liquid extends freeze time significantly — sometimes beyond the machine's operating cycle. Chill your liquid in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before adding it to the machine. Cold starting liquid reduces freeze time by 30–40%.
4. Overfilled Pitcher

6. Faulty Seal or Gasket
A worn or cracked gasket allows cold air to escape the freezing chamber, reducing efficiency. Signs include condensation pooling outside the pitcher base or the exterior feeling warm during operation. Replacement gaskets are inexpensive and typically available from the manufacturer's website.
7. Motor or Compressor Failure
